Volunteering with CFA Society Calgary

Volunteering with the CFA Society Calgary offers a unique opportunity to engage with your local financial community, develop new skills, and make a meaningful impact. We have a variety of volunteer roles to suit different interests and schedules.

For example, you can help with general event volunteering, such as setup, registration, and greeting attendees. Additionally, there are specialized roles like grading and judging in our annual Research Challenge.

Mentorship Program

The CFA Society Calgary Mentorship Program aims to help our members achieve their professional goals and foster mentorship connections.

The program is a 1-year commitment with a suggested meeting frequency of once per month. The suggested discussion topics focus on supporting our members' skill development, leadership abilities, and professional growth within Calgary's vast finance community. This program was first offered in 2020 and we continue to receive positive feedback from our participants.

2025 Mentorship Program - Open for Applications!

As a junior CFA Charterholder or Candidate, you want to grow your personal and professional skillset. As a senior CFA Charterholder, you have critical knowledge to pass along to the next generation of financial professionals. Mentorship is the key!

Applications for the 2025 Mentorship Program are now open! The deadline to submit an application is December 3, 2024, by 11:59 p.m.

Please note the Mentorship Program is exclusive to CFA Society Calgary members. Matched mentors and mentees must attend the program's kickoff event in January 2025.
